Ram Charan: Stories like Peddi come only once in ten years

Speaking at the Vijayawada pre-release event of Peddi, Ram Charan said that his approach to the film was entirely driven by passion and love for the story, making him forget the hard work the movie demanded.

Ram Charan said, “Buchi Babu garu narrated this story to me as the life journey of a person. This isn’t a normal subject. Peddi tells the story of a man who falls multiple times but rises again like a phoenix. Everyone is talking about my hard work, but when an actor gets such a script, he simply surrenders himself to it. Peddi is one of those rare films that made me start every day with enthusiasm. I had this feeling for Magadheera, Rangasthalam, RRR, and now for Peddi.”

He added, “Some stories impress us, some surprise us, but only a handful truly move us and tug at our heartstrings. Peddi belongs to the third category. Like my father said, such stories come only once in ten years. I thank Sukumar and Buchi Babu Sana for making this happen.”

“Peddi gave me immense satisfaction as an actor. My fans made me do a film like Peddi. Without the encouragement of my dear admirers, this wouldn’t have been possible. I only know cinema and nothing else. I will keep entertaining you all till my last breath,” concluded Charan.
