Ramyakrishna made her foray into web series few months ago with Queen, a Zee5 series directed by Gautham Menon and Prasath Murugesan. Based on a book written by Anitha Sivakumarannitha, the series had numerous similarities with the life of former Telangana CM, Jayalalithaa; however, the team has been clear that the series isn’t about Jayalalithaa.
The actress played the role of a woman named Sakthi Seshadri, a strong woman who defies all odds and rises up to become a formidable force in the state politics. While the first season got a good response, Ramyakrishna stated that she’s eagerly looking forward to start shooting for season 2.
“People can expect more exciting, interesting, and thrilling content in season 2. In the previous season, Shakti hadn’t become a full fledged politician, she was just getting there. The new season will cover all that,” Ramyakrishna said, adding that the shooting might start once things settle down in the wake of the Coronavirus spread.
