Prominent actor, producer, and host, Rana Daggubati believes the mindset of new-age audiences has changed, with filmmakers now becoming a major factor in deciding what films people want to watch.
Rana said that people have moved from being “hero first” to “director first”. He pointed out that people are increasingly excited about films from directors like SS Rajamouli, Nag Ashwin, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Prashanth Neel.
“New-age audiences have now moved from Hero First to Director First. People are increasingly excited to watch a Rajamouli film, a Nag Ashwin film, a Sandeep Reddy Vanga film, or a Prashanth Neel film,” said Rana Daggubati. The actor opines that film-watching choices have evolved in recent years, with the director’s vision and track record becoming an important selling point.
