The most eagerly awaited theatrical trailer of Mega Powerstar Ram Charan and Samantha’s period village drama, Rangasthalam, was unveiled at the grand pre-release event in Vizag tonight. The trailer has ‘wow’ factor written all-over and it is leaving fans in awe. Director Sukumar succeeds in extracting terrific output from his actors and technicians.
Rangasthalam’s earthy and rustic trailer showcases the story of a Godavari village named Rangasthalam and its ‘Sound Engineer’ Chitti Babu, a young hearing impaired man, played brilliantly by Ram Charan. Chitti Babu loves Lakshmi, a demure village belle, portrayed by Samantha in an alluring manner. What happens when Chitti Babu crosses paths with the village-head, the menacing Jagapathi Babu, forms the story.
Rangasthalam’s trailer scores high on its ultra realistic characters and backdrop. Ram Charan, Samantha, Jagapathi Babu and Aadhi Pinisetty and rest of the actors look quite natural in their roles and getups. The riveting background music by Devi Sri Prasad is another major asset to the trailer. Rathnavelu’s visuals and Ramakrishna and Monica’s sets breathe realism into the visuals that the viewers back to the 80s.
All said and done, Rangasthalam will now be keenly awaited by fans and film lovers. Mythri Movie Makers banner has bankrolled this high-budget entertainer, which is releasing on March 30.
