Dhurandhar

Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, scripted history by emerging as the first Indian film of 2025 to enter the prestigious Rs. 1,000 crore gross club. The film took just 21 days to achieve this massive feat, and remarkably, Dhurandhar amassed the four-digit figure from a single language, making the record even more special.

Dhurandhar is the first A-rated Indian film to cross this mega milestone. Including Dhurandhar, only nine Indian films have joined this coveted club so far. The other films are Dangal, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Pathaan, Jawan, Kalki 2898 AD, and Pushpa 2: The Rule.

A standalone film reaching Rs. 1,000 crores without support from dubbed versions goes on to show the frenzy Dhurandhar has displayed at the ticket windows. The Gulf is one of the biggest contributors to Hindi films, and Dhurandhar was banned there. Yet, that didn’t stop the film from wreaking havoc at the box office. The movie is enjoying strong repeat audiences, something that has been missing in recent times.

In India, Dhurandhar collected Rs. 789.18 crores gross, with a nett collection of Rs. 668.8 crores. The film is also the highest earner for an original Hindi film in India, surpassing the previous record holder, Stree 2. In overseas markets, Ranveer Singh’s film collected Rs. 217.5 crores gross.

Dhurandhar has been targeted by many since its release due to the events depicted in the film, but the spy action thriller fought against all odds and emerged as one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema. Dhurandhar Part 2: Revenge will hit cinemas on March 19, 2026, in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
