Satya Dev’s Rao Bahadur, backed by Superstar Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar under GMB Entertainment in collaboration with A+S Movies and Sri Chakraas Entertainments, is slated for release on July 3. The film is written, directed, and edited by Venkatesh Maha.
At the teaser launch event, Satya Dev made a bold statement, saying that Rao Bahadur would set a gold standard in Telugu cinema and that audiences would talk about the film in the same breath as Baahubali and RRR whenever there is a discussion about great films in Tollywood.
The statement has already grabbed eyeballs, and a huge responsibility now rests on the team to deliver a product of extraordinary quality that matches their promise. The film will now be closely scrutinized, and even the slightest misstep could lead to online trolling.
If Rao Bahadur turns out to be the masterpiece the makers claim it is, audiences could be in for a treat. Deepa Thomas plays the female lead, while Vikas Muppala, Bala Parasar, Anand Bharathi, Pranay Vaka, and Master Kiran will be seen in key roles.
