For the first time her career, actress Rashmika Mandanna will be seen playing an out-and-out deglamorized village belle in the pan-India action drama, Pushpa. The young beauty’s dusky and rustic look in the film’s first look poster, teaser and the Srivalli song was a pleasant revelation for her fans.
In a latest interview, Rashmika revealed how she prepped for her character in Pushpa. The actress said that she had done a lot of research and learnt several mannerisms and expressions of rural girls to get into the skin of her character. She even went to a village near Tirupati to explore the rural milieu and interacted with the villagers to know their lifestyle and understand their body language.
Rashmika will be seen in an author-backed role penned by Sukumar, and she is sure to make a striking impression with her performance. Allu Arjun, Mollywood star Fahadh Faasil, Kannada actor Dhananjaya and Sunil will be seen in lead roles in this Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media joint production. DSP is scoring the soundtrack. The film is gearing up for release on December 17.
