Star heroine Rashmika Mandanna recently came up with the romantic drama, The Girlfriend. The movie, directed by Rahul Ravindran, features Kannada actor Deekshith Shetty as the male lead. Noted actress Anu Emmanuel played a key cameo.
According to a recent report in OTT Play, The Girlfriend will have its OTT premiere on December 11, 2025. Netflix holds the post-theatrical streaming rights of this flick, which highlights toxic relationships. The OTT platform shelled out Rs. 14 crores to acquire the streaming rights. The official announcement about the digital release is yet to be made.
Rao Ramesh, Rohini, and Rahul Ravindran played key roles. The Girlfriend is produced by Vidya Koppineedi and Dheeraj Mogilineni under the banners of Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment and Geetha Arts. Allu Aravind is the presenter, and Hesham Abdul Wahab is the music composer.
