Ranbir Kapoor and Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is one of the most-anticipated projects of Indian cinema. Sai Pallavi plays the female lead, while Sandalwood star Yash essays the role of Ravan. Ramayana is the costliest Indian project to date.
According to the latest media reports, world-renowned director Christopher Nolan has been approached to review the final edit and the post-production work of this mythological film. Additionally, it is being said that Nolan, along with his frequent collaborator, cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema, might work on the project for 72 days starting in August.
These reports have generated widespread discussion on social media. Producer Namit Malhotra’s VFX company, DNEG, has been instrumental in shaping films by Christopher Nolan. If Namit Malhotra succeeds in bringing Nolan on board, it would be a major leap in positioning Ramayana as a global cinematic spectacle. The biggie is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026.
