Eccentric filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s long-delayed horror thriller, Deyyam, is finally gearing up for its release on April 16. The director has landed in Hyderabad from Goa to promote the movie. In a latest interview, RGV spoke at length about star hero Pawan Kalyan.
RGV, who always chides Pawan Kalyan through his sly, intimidating tweets, said that he is a huge admirer of Pawan the an actor. However, RGV revealed that he has not seen Pawan’s films much, including the recently released Vakeel Saab. However, he said that he has seen Vakeel Saab’s trailer and loved it very much.
RGV then said that he cannot work with Pawan Kalyan due to his mass image. “I can’t make a film that will reach Pawan’s fans’ expectations. I prefer to make genre based films rather than films that elevate stars’ heroism. That’s the reason why I never worked with Pawan,” RGV revealed, further adding that if he casts a star in his movies, it will prove costly for both the star and the movie.
