Sandalwood film Kantara emerged as one of the blockbuster movies of 2022. Directed by Rishab Shetty, the devotional hit has Sapthami Gowda as the female lead.
Rishab had already announced that they would make a prequel to Kantara. On this auspicious day of Ugadi, the actor-director announced that he began writing the script of Kantara 2.
Actors who appeared in Kantara will also return in the prequel. Hombale Films is bankrolling this project on a massive scale. More details about the film will be announced soon.
