The adventurous comedy entertainer Robinhood, featuring Nithiin and Sreeleela in the lead roles, is announced for a December 25 release. However, with no promotions till now, the Christmas release is ruled out, and makers are considering alternative options.
The team is thinking of a Sankranthi release, which puts the film in a tough position since it is already jam-packed with Game Changer, Daaku Maharaaj, and Sankranthiki Vasthunam. If Robinhood comes for Sankranthi, the makers should aggressively promote the film to grab the eyeballs. Also, the film will left with fewer screens if that is the case.
The best option will be to opt for a solo release either during the Republic Day weekend or in February. The team is said to be looking at all these alternatives and we need to see what they will decide eventually. Once the release date is locked the promotions will kickstart. Robinhood is the costliest project in Nithiin’s career.
