Dhanush is back in the director’s chair for Idli Kadai, which is also headlined by him. Starring Nithya Menen as the female lead, the movie is set for release in Tamil and Telugu on October 1st. The movie will release under the title Idli Kottu in Telugu.
The theatrical trailer, which was released recently, is getting a good response. Idli Kadai has already wrapped up its censor formalities with a U certificate. The latest update reveals that the film’s approved runtime is 147 minutes (2 hours and 27 minutes).
Dhanush’s last directorial venture, NEEK, didn’t perform well, and we need to see how Idli Kadai fares. Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, and others play supporting roles. Produced jointly by Dawn Pictures, Wunderbar Films, and Red Giant Movies, the film features music by GV Prakash Kumar.
