Sad News: Disney reschedules release dates of Avatar, Avengers, and Star Wars sequels

Here is some bad news for fans eagerly anticipating the sequels to blockbuster Hollywood franchises. Disney, the studio producing the sequels for Avatar, Avengers, and Star Wars, has changed their release dates.

According to reports, James Cameron’s Avatar 3 is now set to release on December 19, 2025, while Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 will hit theaters on December 21, 2029, and December 19, 2031, respectively. It means that the last movie in the Avatar series will come out 22 years after the first one.

Meanwhile, Disney has pushed back the release date for Avengers: Kang Dynasty from May 2025 to May 2026. Other upcoming Marvel movies Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, Blade, and Fantastic Four, are now set to release in July 2024, December 2024, February 2025, and May 2025, respectively.

Star Wars fans will also have to wait to see the next two installments in the franchise. They are now scheduled to release in December 2025 and December 2026.
