Bollywood star Sara Ali Khan has landed in a religious controversy following her recent visit to Kedarnath Temple. An Islamic cleric, Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, issued a fatwa against her.
He also urged the actress to repent and seek forgiveness. However, the move has not received unanimous support from religious leaders as they criticised the fatwa and said Sara, like anyone else, has the right to visit any place of worship.
Sara has not publicly responded to the controversy so far. Not many know Sara was born to a Hindu mother and muslim father, Saif Ali Khan and is known to aggressively visit Hindu temples despite being a Muslim.
