A few hours back, the OTT platform Netflix teased the audience by dropping a video featuring Shah Rukh Khan. The star actor said that something special was arriving soon on the platform, leading to huge discussion among the netizens. Here is the biggest surprise from Netflix. SRK’s latest release, Dunki, is now streaming on the digital platform in Hindi audio along with English subtitles. Though there was buzz that the film will premiere on Jio Cinema, the movie has arrived on Netflix now, and we need to see if it will arrive on the other platform too.
The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who delivered some of the best entertainers in Indian cinema. Compared to other works of Hirani, the audience felt Dunki wasn’t great and it received mixed reviews from critics as well. But the star power of SRK helped the movie earn 470 crores gross at the global box office. In India, the film collected around 220 crores nett.
How a soldier helped his friends reach the UK illegally is what Dunki is about. Taapsee Pannu played the female lead. Terrific performer Vicky Kaushal shined in a pivotal cameo. Gauri Khan and Rajkumar Hirani produced this comedy drama under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, Jio Studios, and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover played other important roles.
