Amazon Prime Video has recently unveiled its upcoming slate, with Shahid Kapoor’s O’ Romeo among the films set for a post-theatrical digital release.
Starring Triptii Dimri as the female lead, the film will arrive on Amazon Prime Video on March 27, 2026. However, it will not be available as part of the standard subscription at launch. Instead, viewers will need to rent the film, making it a pay-per-view offering in its initial phase.This puts the focus on audience response.
Given its moderate box office performance, it remains to be seen whether viewers will opt to pay for early access or wait until the film becomes available without an additional charge. Typically, audiences tend to wait for a subscription release, making the initial OTT response a key factor.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, O’ Romeo also features Vijay Varma, Naseeruddin Shah, Kay Kay Menon, Amol Palekar, and Kubbra Sait in supporting roles.
