Former Bollywood heroine Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra has been arrested by the Mumbai Police in a pornography case. The arrest was in connection with a case that was registered with the Mumbai Crime Branch in February about creation of pornographic films and publishing them through online apps. Raj Kundra is named as the key conspirator in the case.

Kundra has been booked under IPC sections of cheating, indulging in the obscene act in public places and publicly exhibiting or circulating obscene books or literature and under the Information Technology Act. After spending the night in the Mumbai Crime Branch custody, he will be placed in the Property Cell office.

Last week, the Mumbai Police filed 2 FIRs and apprehended nine people for allegedly “forcing” actors to shoot nude scenes for pornographic films. These films were allegedly released/streamed on paid mobile apps. Cops have gathered sufficient evidence and the investigation is underway.

Incidentally, model-actress Poonam Pandey has filed a criminal case against Raj Kundra and his associates in Bombay High Court. Poonam alleged that Raj Kundra and his associates have been illegally using her video content even after the contract between them was terminated. On the other hand, Raj Kundra and his associate denied Poonam’s claims and told the media that they haven’t received any notice till now.
