Silk Smitha was one of the greatest dancers in Indian cinema. She acted prominently in Telugu and Tamil films. The actress is mainly known for her erotic roles, and she became the symbol of sensuality in South cinema. Now, a biopic on the late actress is announced. Chandrika Ravi, who appeared in Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy, plays Silk Smitha on screen.

“The untold story” is the tagline. Also, the first look poster was released. Chandrika Ravi killed it in the poster, as she looks very similar to Silk Smitha. The movie will be directed by Jayaram. SB Vijay will produce this biographical film, which will be released in theatres in 2024.

The as-yet-untitled film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Interestingly, a few movies based on Silk Smitha’s life have already come out so far, with Vidya Balan’s superhit “The Dirty Picture” being the notable one. Let’s see what unknown aspects the makers of this Chandrika Ravi starrer will showcase about Silk Smitha’s life.
