This Pongal witnessed the release of Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi, a period political action drama. The film was directed by Sudha Kongara, with Sreeleela playing the female lead.

After four weeks of its theatrical run, the movie is now available for streaming on Z5 (formerly ZEE5) in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, with English subtitles.

The movie failed to make a massive impact in theaters and is now ready to test the waters in the OTT space.

Apart from Sivakarthikeyan and Sreeleela, the film also features Atharvaa, Ravi Mohan, Rana Daggubati (cameo), and Basil Joseph (cameo). Dawn Pictures handles the production, and this marks the 100th film for GV Prakash Kumar as a composer.
