Small films struggle as three recent releases exit theatres quietly

Three recent releases, Timmarajupalli TV, Bad Boy Karthik, and Papam Prathap, have exited theatres quietly after failing to make an impact.

All three films reported low occupancy from the opening day and couldn’t generate enough word-of-mouth to sustain their run and failed big time.

Trade circles suggest that the lack of star power and engaging content played a major role in their underperformance. In today’s competitive market, audiences appear to be more selective, prioritizing either strong storytelling or the presence of bankable stars.

The outcome of these films reinforces a growing trend, without a compelling hook or recognizable faces, it is becoming increasingly difficult for small films to draw crowds to theatres and survive at the box office.
