Ever since Tuck Jagadish’s April release was postponed due to the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, there have been numerous speculations about the film skipping its theatrical release and opt for a direct OTT release instead. On the other hand, the film’s makers neither confirmed nor gave a clear hint about the OTT release so far.

Now, speculations on Tuck Jagadish’s direct OTT release are back once again. Even though movie theaters across the twin Telugu states reopened last week, the situation is still unfavorable to release medium and big budget movies. The uncertainty over the ticket rates in Andhra Pradesh, the slow but steady rise in the number of Covid positive cases, the threat of an impending third wave and middle-class families still unwilling to watch films in cinemas are the primary reasons behind this situation.

In this scenario, Tuck Jagadish’s team is said to be in no mood to hold back the film for long. The buzz has it that the makers have initiated talks with a leading OTT platform and an official announcement regarding the film’s OTT release plans may arrive in the coming days.

Starring Nani, Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh and Jagapathi Babu in key roles, Tuck Jagadish has been directed by Shiva Nirvana, while Harish Peddi and Sahu Garapati are the producers. Thaman is the film’s music composer.
