Virupaksha, the spine-chilling film starring Sai Dharam Tej and Samyukta Menon, is off to a good start at the box office. Helmed by Karthik Dandu, who earlier directed Bham Bholenath, the film is a period mystical thriller set in a village named Rudravanam.
After registering good numbers for its premiers in the USA, the movie started day one with a bang in this region. Virupaksha added another $100K to the tally and has zoomed past the $200K mark. Given the positive word of mouth, the collections are expected to rise on Saturday and Sunday.
At this speed, Virupaksha has chances to become the first-ever million-dollar film for Sai Dharam Tej in the USA. Ajaneesh Loknath scored the tunes. Sukumar handled the screenplay for Virupaksha, and BVSN Prasad produced it. Sunil, Rajeev Kanakala, Sai Chand, Soniya Singh, Shyamla, Ajay, and Brahmaji played important roles.
