For the past few days, speculation had been rife that Prabhas’ next biggie, Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, was targeting a Sankranthi 2027 release. However, the makers of the big-ticket entertainer have now sprung a surprise by officially locking its release date.
Accordingly, the cop action saga will hit cinemas on March 5, 2027, coinciding with Maha Shivaratri. With Eid also falling in the film’s opening week, the makers have locked what appears to be a perfect release window, ensuring a strong box office run. It is also a smart move by the team to opt for a solo release instead of arriving during the typically crowded Sankranthi season.
