Published on Feb 26, 2018 8:17 pm IST

Legendary actress Sridevi may have left us, but for Telugu movie lovers, she will forever be the eternal diva, the gorgeous ‘Athiloka Sundari’ who had mesmerized her fans with her magnificent beauty and acting prowess for nearly 5 decades.

Even though she had shared screen space with several legendary stars from the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi film industries in her illustrious career, Sridevi gained super stardom despite the heavy male dominance. For Sridevi, there was a relentless battle to gain and sustain the stardom she had earned.

Born on 13 August, 1963 in Sivakasi district of Tamil Nadu, Sridevi stepped into movies when she was just 4 years old. Since then, she had acted for nearly 4 decades without a break until she became mother to her daughters Jhanvi and Kushi Kapoor.

Sridevi turned heroine when she was just 13 years old. She went on to romance stalwarts like NTR, MGR, ANR, Krishna, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna and Venkatesh etc. Despite the huge age difference, she effortlessly managed to create her own identity on-screen.

After a prolonged break, Sridevi made her silver screen comeback with English Vinglish in 2012 and cast a spell on her fans. Mom, released in July 2017, was Sridevi’s last film.
