Recently, the maverick director SS Rajamouli announced an animated web series titled Baahubali: Crown of Blood. As the name suggests, the animated series is set in the popular Baahubali franchise. Today the makers revealed that this animated series will be available for streaming from May 17 on Disney Plus Hotstar.
Along with the streaming date, the trailer was also launched, which gives us an idea of what to expect from the series. We all know that Bhallaladeva backstabbed his brother Baahubali. But this animated series will depict the events before that. It highlights the biggest challenge faced by the Mahishmati kingdom in the form of Raktadeva.
Ratkadeva destroyed many kingdoms, and he now decides to conquer Mahismati. Was he successful in doing so? How did Baahubali and Bhallaladeva save their kingdom from Ratkadeva is what the series is about. Baahubali and Bhallaladeva unite forces to destroy the enemy. Katappa is shown as the general of Raktadeva’s army. Why did Katappa become a traitor? We must wait till May 17 to know the answers.
Rajamouli and Sharad Devarajan created this web series. Kang and Navin John wielded the megaphone while Rajamouli, Shobu Yarlagadda, and Devarajan bankrolled it. Let’s see if the show can create new records in the Indian OTT space.
