Welcome To The Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar, is performing well at the box office. According to Bollywood Hungama, the actor agreed not to take a salary for the film and instead opted for a profit-sharing model to reduce the film’s upfront production budget.

This smart move by Akshay Kumar helped the makers wrap the film within Rs. 125 crores, a very reasonable budget for a top hero’s film. Apart from Akshay, there are a massive number of stars in the comedy drama, but the makers smartly made the film on a controlled budget, with a large chunk of the money going into production.

With Akshay’s thoughtful decision, the movie is now making a good recovery at the ticket windows. Even in a recent podcast, Dil Raju highlighted how the Bollywood star’s decision to tie his earnings to the box office performance helped ease the production cost for his upcoming comedy entertainer headlined by Akshay and directed by Anees Bazmee.
