Tollywood romantic drama Raju Weds Rambai grabbed eyeballs for its shock-value content and authentic presentation. Akhil Raj Uddemari and Tejaswini played the lead roles in the film, which was directed by debutant Saailu Kaampati. The movie performed fairly at the box office and also won honors at the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards (TGFA).
According to the latest buzz, Sumanth Prabhas is likely to play the lead role in Saailu Kaampati’s second directorial. Interestingly, Raju Weds Rambai was also first offered to Sumanth Prabhas, but the actor turned it down as he didn’t want to act in consecutive Telangana-backdrop films.
The speculation suggests that Saailu Kaampati’s second film will also be a love story set against the Telangana backdrop. Asian Suniel, Puskur Rammohan Rao, and Bharat Narang will produce the project under the banner of SVCLLP.
