Suriya made a stunning comeback with the fantasy action drama Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji. The film emerged as his biggest hit to date, earning over Rs. 300 crores. Its success gave a new lease of life to Suriya during a rough phase in his career.

According to the buzz in Kollywood circles, Suriya is looking to charge a mind-boggling Rs. 100 crore as remuneration henceforth. It is said that the actor will command the three-digit figure starting with his 49th project.

The gossip is now doing the rounds on social media. Suriya’s next release is Viswanath & Sons, directed by Lucky Baskhar fame Venky Atluri. Naga Vamsi is producing the film, which is set to release on August 14.
