Thandel, featuring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, is the next big release from Tollywood. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film, and recently, a grand event was held to launch a romantic song. Thandel marks the first PAN Indian film of Naga Chaitanya, and there is excitement about how the film fares in the Hindi heartland.
For those who don’t know, Thandel isn’t just a romantic film. It also contains patriotic elements and this aspect was revealed in ‘Essence of Thandel’. Naga Chaitanya plays a fisherman who mistakenly enters Pakistani waters while fishing. The protagonist will be put in Karachi Central Jail, where he will mouth some powerful dialogues explaining the greatness of India.
Hindi audience are generally fond of patriotic films and the chest thumping nationalism angle of Thandel is expected to strike a chord with them. The film is also backed by Devi Sri Prasad’s soothing songs. The presence of these elements make Thandel very much suitable for the Hindi audience.
The makers also have plans to promote the film in North India. If the trailer is good and the promotions get good traction, we can expect a good opening in Hindi. Chandoo Mondeti directed this flick, and Bunny Vas produced it under the banner of GA2 Pictures.
