Tollywood director Tharun Bhascker plays the lead in the upcoming rom-com Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi, the official Telugu remake of the Malayalam hit Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey (2022). Eesha Rebba stars as the female lead.
Directed by debutant A. R. Sajeev, the film’s trailer was released today and it promises an entertaining ride while addressing the serious issue of domestic violence with humor and sensitivity. Tharun Bhascker plays Ambati Omkar Naidu, a fishery owner who marries Kondaveeti Prashanthi, played by Eesha Rebba.
Prashanthi initially believes Ambati to be progressive, but he soon reveals his controlling and abusive nature. Though she remains silent at first, she eventually fights back with courage and self-belief, asserting her independence.
Rohini and Brahmaji play key roles. Jay Krish is the music director. Produced by Srujan Yarabolu under S Originals, in association with Movie Verse Studios, the film is set to release on January 30, 2026.
