Nani’s most-anticipated film, The Paradise, is gearing up for a grand release on September 24. The movie, directed by Srikanth Odela, is a rustic action drama set against the Hyderabad backdrop. Sampoornesh Babu plays Biryani in the film, and in a recent interview, he revealed interesting details about the character.
“When I was approached, Srikanth clearly told me that it is a serious character. So far, I have done roles and movies set in the comedy space. He asked me if it was fine for me to play a totally contrasting role. I told him I would do the film. I won’t laugh or make others laugh. I play Nani anna’s best friend,” said Sampoornesh Babu.
The journalist asked Sampoornesh Babu if he had undergone any preparation to make the character look convincing. The actor replied, “I was often reminded by Srikanth that I am not Sampoornesh Babu but Biryani. It is surely a big task for me to pull off. I blindly trusted the director’s vision. There were many retakes because of me. One scene took over 10 takes on the first day of the shoot. I had constant fear in my mind about doing my job properly.”
