Dharmatic Entertainment-backed psychological thriller Accused had a direct-to-digital release on Netflix. The film sprung a pleasant surprise by emerging as the platform’s most-watched Indian original title across both films and series in 2026.
So far, Accused has garnered a mammoth 19.4 million views. In just four-and-a-half months, the film achieved sensational viewership and is already among the top 10 most-watched Netflix original Indian films in terms of viewership.
Globally, the film is ranked 67th among over 9,000 films. The data comes from Netflix’s Half-Yearly Worldwide Engagement Report. Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Adar Poonawalla, the film stars Konkona Sen Sharma and Laapataa Ladies fame Pratibha Ranta in the lead roles.
