Sunny Deol’s full-on action entertainer Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni, received a good response at the box office. Everyone praised the director for the way he presented Sunny Deol in a never before avatar. After Gadar 2, the Bollywood action superstar once again impressed the masses. But do you know that Sunny Deol was not the first choice for this flick?
Initially, Gopichand Malineni wanted to do this movie with Tollywood actor Balakrishna. In a recent interview, the director revealed, “After Krack, I approached Balakrishna Garu with the Jaat story and got the green signal, too. But post-Akhanda, Balayya Garu said the expectations had been raised and that a faction backdrop would better meet them. And that’s how Veera Simha Reddy materialized.”
Veera Simha Reddy was also a commercial success but fans feel that Balakrishna should have chosen Jaat over the faction film. Mythri Movie Makers in association with People Media Factory produced Jaat. Jaat also stars Randeep Hooda, Viineet Kumar Siingh, Regina Cassandra, and Saiyami Kher in pivotal roles. Thaman S is the music composer.
