Director Buchi Babu has once again addressed the criticism surrounding Janhvi Kapoor’s role in Peddi. After previously apologizing for the way the character was presented, the filmmaker offered further clarification during a recent media interaction.
According to Buchi Babu, Janhvi’s character was originally written with greater depth and importance to the story. However, three crucial scenes featuring her had to be removed during editing due to runtime constraints. As a result, the character’s arc appeared abrupt on screen, leading to disappointment among a section of the audience.
The director acknowledged the feedback and admitted that the final presentation did not fully reflect what was initially envisioned. He also stated that he has taken the criticism seriously and will be more careful in the future.
