Karthi’s Vaa Vaathiyaar, which was supposed to be released on December 12, was postponed at the last minute due to financial hurdles. After the Madras High Court ordered a stay on the film’s release, the makers moved the Supreme Court. We had already hinted that the movie might face further troubles if a new release date isn’t locked soon.
The issues are yet to be resolved, and according to reports, Amazon Prime Video is said to have backed out of the OTT deal, as there is no clarity about the movie’s release date at the moment. Most probably, this Karthi starrer will now be pushed to 2026, and if the reports about the OTT deal turn out to be true, it will definitely come as a big blow to the Vaa Vaathiyaar team.
We need to wait and see when the film will finally hit the big screens. Nalan Kumarasamy is the director, and Krithi Shetty plays the female lead. The movie will be released under the title ‘Annagaru Vostaru’ in Telugu.
