In 2022, Prime Video came up with a crime investigative thriller series, Vadhandhi, headlined by SJ Suryah and Sanjana. The series, backed by Pushkar and Gayatri of Vikram Vedha fame, was a smash hit on the OTT platform with solid viewership. Now, the second installment of the series, Vadhandhi 2, is ready for release.
Interestingly, SJ Suryah has been replaced by Sasikumar for the sequel, and today it was revealed that the series will start streaming from August 7. Yashwanth, Anagha Maruthora, Aparna Das, Vivek Prasanna, Revathy Sharma, and Arjun Nandhakumar play key roles. The show, directed by Andrew Louis, will stream in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi audios simultaneously.
As per Prime Video, the second installment’s gist reads: “After a punishment transfer to the barren outskirts of Madurai, SI Moosa Raaza closes a high-profile political cold case, only to realize his success may have sent an innocent man to prison for life. To rectify his mistake, Raaza must defy the state and dive back into a labyrinth of buried secrets to save him from a sentence he doesn’t deserve.”
