Director Vamshi Paidipally’s Maharshi won the Best Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Choreography awards at the 67th National Film Awards yesterday. Needless to say, Vamshi is thrilled with this prestigious honour.
Interacting with the media after winning the awards, Vamshi said that he is dedicating the National Award to Telugu audiences and the entire team of Maharshi. “We made a commercial entertainer and mixed it with an important message and the audience made the film a huge hit. I dedicate this award to the Telugu audience and the entire team of Maharshi,” Vamshi said.
Vamshi went on to say that a major credit for the National Awards must be given to the film’s hero Mahesh Babu. “Soon after I gave him the narration, Mahesh garu told me that Maharshi will be one of the best movies in his career,” Vamshi said.
