Varanasi: Prakash Raj spills the beans about his role in SS Rajamouli–Mahesh Babu’s film

SS Rajamouli and Superstar Mahesh Babu have collaborated for the mythological fantasy entertainer Varanasi. The movie is already receiving solid offers for its non-theatrical and theatrical rights. Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran play significant roles. Versatile actor Prakash Raj is also part of this tent-pole project.

During an event, Prakash Raj revealed a key detail about his role in Varanasi. “I am part of Varanasi. I play an ardent Lord Shiva bhakt in the film,” said the National Award-winning actor. There are rumors that Prakash Raj will be seen playing the role of Mahesh Babu’s father in Varanasi, but more clarity is awaited regarding this aspect.

Produced by KL Narayana of Sri Durga Arts, Varanasi is scheduled for a grand release on April 7, 2027. M. M. Keeravani is composing the tunes. In a segment of the film, Mahesh Babu will be seen as Lord Ram.
