SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu, is gearing up for its grand theatrical release on April 7, 2027. With the shoot nearing completion, the makers have started focusing on pre-release business.

However, the latest buzz suggests the team is not entirely satisfied with the deals coming in. The OTT offer is reportedly below the makers’ expectations, and similar concerns are said to exist regarding other non-theatrical rights.

Given the project’s massive budget and scale, the team is unwilling to compromise on valuations. With considerable money riding on the film, the makers are expected to take a cautious approach before closing the deals.

Whether the market meets their expectations remains to be seen. Priyanka Chopra, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Prakash Raj play key roles in this film.
