Hero Venkatesh’s Drushyam 2 had its direct OTT release a few days ago and received a good response. The film is an official remake of Mohanlal’s acclaimed Malayalam thriller, Drishyam 2. Incidentally, Venky’s Narappa was also a remake of the National award-winning Tamil film, Asuran.
Venky is currently working on the Netflix series, Rana Naidu. On the other hand, there has been no official announcement regarding Venky’s next film. Now, if the ongoing buzz is anything to go by, Venky seems to be keen on starring in the Telugu remake of the acclaimed Malayalam drama, Driving License. The original stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Venky is rumored to have evinced interest in reprising Suraj’s role from the original.
There is no clarity on the actor who will be essaying Prithviraj’s role. We will have to wait until an official announcement is made regarding this crazy project.
