Satya Dev’s Rao Bahadur, directed by Venkatesh Maha, is coming to the big screens on July 3. The film, backed by Superstar Mahesh Babu, has garnered attention with its interesting promotional material. In a recent interview, the director was asked to describe the film’s genre.
“I will put it at the genre level. It’s a psychological drama. It’s not horror. It’s not a thriller. It’s a pure psychological drama. But it has sub-genres like magical realism and dark comedy. Story-wise, it showcases the journey of Bhuvanam Ramappa Rao Bahadur,” said Venkatesh Maha.
“His journey will be completely contrasting to the journeys of protagonists in other films. His want may look small, but that journey is very heroic. The audience will feel like they are reading a book. You will get to know a person inside out. It is almost like a biopic of this character,” he concluded.
