Veteran Telugu director passes away at 74

Tollywood Film Industry (TFI) has lost another filmmaker. Veteran director Sarath who directed many hit movies has passed away this morning at his residence in Hyderabad. He has been suffering from cancer for a long time and died of it. He was 74.

The senior director has directed movies with star heroes like Superstar Krishna, Balakrishna, Suman, Jagapathi Babu and late Srihari. Super Mogudu, Peddannayya, Vamsoddharakudu, Sulthan, Vamsanikokkadu, Bava-Bavamaridhi, Bhale Bullodu, Peddinti Alludu, Chinnalludu and Evadra Rowdy are few films he directed in his career.

The unmarried director turned many aspirants into directors. Several Tollywood celebrities have mourned the death of the director. Sarath’s last rites will happen tomorrow in the city.
