Salaar, headlined by PAN-India star Prabhas, is one of the rare action films with immense repeat value. The biggie, directed by Prashanth Neel, marked Prabhas’ strong comeback after a couple of underwhelming outings. Not just the action, Neel also nailed the drama part, which earned the film immense love. Fans have been eagerly waiting for Salaar 2 for a long time.
In an interview with Variety India, producer Vijay Kiragandur spoke about the much-awaited sequel. He said, “Salaar 2 is going to be an absolute behemoth. We are constantly inundated with fan requests regarding its development, and we are thrilled to share that we will be diving into production very soon.”
Earlier, Prashanth Neel had mentioned in an interview that the first film didn’t fully meet expectations, a statement that surprised fans and audiences alike. Responding to this, the producer said, “Prashanth Neel is undoubtedly one of the finest directors working today, and like all great artists, he is his own toughest critic. The reality is that Salaar was a mammoth success at the global box office and remains one of the most-watched films on OTT.”
