Hindi folk horror film Tumbadd, directed by Rahi Anil Barve and Anand Gandhi, initially became a box office flop. However, the film slowly gained cult status among audiences as time progressed. The movie, produced and headlined by Sohum Shah, was re-released in 2024, and in the re-run, the horror film minted massive numbers.
A few days ago, reports suggested that either Nawazuddin Siddiqui or Akshaye Khanna would play a key role in this flick. The latest update reveals that Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been roped in for this crazy sequel. Pen Studios is backing Tumbbad 2/
Speaking about his role and the film, Nawazuddin said, “Tumbbad has always been a film I admired for its originality and atmospheric storytelling. When Sohum shared the vision for the sequel, I liked the story, and I joined them in their journey. The character I’ll be portraying has many layers. I’m looking forward to exploring this immersive universe with such a passionate team.”
