After inking record breaking deals for Tamil Nadu and Kerala distribution rights, the makers of Tamil superstar Vijay’s highly-anticipated gangster drama, Leo, have just sealed yet another record deal. Even though the film is scheduled to release on October 19, the distribution rights for almost all the regions are being sold like hotcakes.
The latest updates reveal that Leo’s overseas rights have been sold for a whopping Rs 60 crore. Leading overseas distribution house, Phars Film, has acquired Leo’s overseas rights by shelling out this humongous amount. While this is the all-time highest overseas deal for any Tamil film, it is also the third highest overseas deal for any South Indian movie, after Salaar and RRR.
The team behind Phars Film is said to be planning a record release for any Indian film in overseas for Leo. Stay tuned for further pre-release biz deals and other updates on Leo.
