This Christmas, the Tollywood box office will see multiple new releases: Champion, Shambhala, Eesha, Dhandoraa, Patang, and Vrushabha. Geetha Arts will handle the distribution of Vrushabha, headlined by Mohanlal. Initially, Roshan Meka was cast for an important role, but due to scheduling conflicts, he exited the project.
Some are criticizing Geetha Arts for backing a dubbed film amid tough competition. During a press meet, Bunny Vas addressed the online criticism: “Vrushabha isn’t a dubbed film. It received a straight Telugu certificate from the Censor Board. Since the movie is planned for a multi-lingual release, we cannot change the release date.”
He added, “Ideally, Vrushabha should have been released two months ago, when theatres were relatively idle. But due to CGI delays, it is arriving on December 25. We have to honor our commitment. Pen Movies is releasing the film in Hindi, and we share a good rapport with them. Therefore, we cannot compromise on our commitment.”
