Clips claiming that Tollywood actress Sreeleela was mistreated at the recently held International Yoga Day celebrations in Mumbai are going viral on social media. Sreeleela attended the event as a special guest alongside Bollywood actors Shahid Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. The programme was organized by Divyaj Foundation under the leadership of Amruta Fadnavis at the SVP Stadium.
However, during a photo session, Sreeleela was seen posing with Amruta Fadnavis and her daughter Divija. This was when Amruta appeared to have asked the actress to step aside, and the clip quickly caught the attention of netizens, sparking widespread discussion online. Sreeleela fans and netizens expressed disappointment over Amruta Fadnavis’ behavior.
They argued that inviting a popular actress to the event and then seemingly asking her to move out of the frame in front of everyone amounted to disrespect. Several users criticized Amruta, accusing her of displaying arrogance.
However, another section of social media users has come out in Amruta’s support. They argue that the photographers present at the venue had specifically requested separate pictures of the mother and daughter, and that Amruta’s gesture was only in response to that request. According to them, there was no intention to insult or disrespect Sreeleela.
So far, neither Sreeleela nor Amruta Fadnavis has issued an official statement regarding the incident. The controversy is likely to continue until either side provides clarity on what exactly happened.
