Adipurush is one of the biggest flops in Indian cinema. More than the failure, the makers faced the wrath of the audience for spoiling such a good story of Ramayana and making it into a silly VFX film.
The film’s dialogue writer, Manoj Muntashir made headlines when he supported his work during the release. But now, months after the release he has confessed that he and the makers made a huge mistake by making such a film.
In an interview with Aaj Tak, Manoj also reveals he received multiple death threats and he had to relocate abroad for the controversy to get over. Manoj adds that his family was very tense about his well-being and asked him not to speak about the film at all.
Adipurush was made on a massive budget and had Prabhas and Kriti Sanon as the leads. The film was made on a massive note and the makers saw solid losses in all the languages of its release.
