Yatra, the highly-anticipated biopic on former Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhara Reddy, was launched on April 9, on the occasion of 15 years for YSR’s Padayatra. Stalwart Malayalam actor Mammootty is essaying YSR’s role in this much-awaited biopic.
As per the latest updates, Yatra’s regular shooting will kick-start from June 20. The entire shoot will be wrapped up in a long, single schedule which will last until September. Yatra will pay tribute to YSR’s unrelenting spirit and his historic 60-day Padayatra covering 1500 kilometer in the scorching hot summer in 2003.
Mahi V Raghav, the director of blockbuster Anando Brahma, is helming Yatra. Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy are bankrolling this prestigious project under 70mm Entertainments banner.
